Radiesse is an injectable implant composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres of synthetic origin suspended in a carrier gel of sodium carboxymethylcellulose. Its volume is approximately 30% CaHA and 70% carrier gel.
CaHA microspheres are similar to minerals found naturally in bones and teeth. They naturally degrade into phosphate and calcium ions, which are then metabolized by the body. There is no risk of rejection or allergy.
Over time, the gel is absorbed and fibroblasts appear. The process of neocollagenesis which is thus set in motion stimulates the gradual growth of the patient’s collagen.
→ Radiesse does not retain water, therefore it is particularly suitable for certain indications such as dark circles.
Whatever the framework of the intervention, during a workshop or a masterclass, the doctor will inform you beforehand about the techniques used in collagen-inducing fillers, about the different stages of the intervention, as well as only on the result you can expect.
